Massage anyone?
A fun presentation is a corporate massage event. Bring in 1 or 2 massage therapists (depending on the amount of designers present), and have each designer sign up for 10-15 minutes in the massage chair. While the other designers await their turn in the chair, snack and have drinks while your show your products! Who doesn't love a massage?!
Go NUTS specifying
For those hot summer months...
As much as I love chocolate, it's not so fun to eat a melty skor bar! A fun idea is to get little brown sacks or any container with nuts in them! You can even leave little snack packs of nuts. Think of a fun slogan to go with it! "You'll got NUTS when you see what ____ has done!" Any way you word it, incorporate NUTS! You could even make a snack basket with nuts, crackers, etc...Think outside the box!!!

Thinking GREEN
Here's an fantastic idea I got from Jennifer in Alabama....
Go to your local nururey and get a flat of ivy or any other green ground cover. You could even use little flowers (violas & pansies are pretty & cheap!) and place them in little pots or get even more creative by using some funky chinese food take out boxes. Place a sticker on the box or a little tag with a fun creative slogan! If your product is GREEN, incorporate that into your tag!
This is something your clients can keep at their desk and wont get tossed after just a day!
Just remember- with it being summer, the heat in your car can damage the plants, so be sure to get them out quickly!

Hello everyone!
For the past couple of months, I have been trying to think of some fun, new, and creative ways to present the products I rep! I brainstormed and spent precious time searching the Internet for ideas with little success, realizing there was probably a wealth of ideas out there if we had a forum in which to connect! As we all know, architects and designers can tire of the same ol', same ol' "turkey croissant" lunch n' learn, and coming from a design background myself, I always loved when reps left creative, fun "leave-behinds" (as I like to call them) that advertised their product! So, I got the idea to email some of my fellow associates for some fresh ideas and-voila!- the ideas came pouring in!
This blog was created to post fresh, fun ideas for presentations, leave-behinds or any other tips & tricks you can pull out of your hat to help get the products you want specified! Please feel free to add comments and share with the rest of us!
After all, reps are SPEC-tacular!
One last thing- I'd like to keep specific manufactures/products that we rep anonymous, as this blogs purpose is not to push or promote one product over another, but rather to help us reps with some fun, new ideas!
